It has come round to that time of year again. So many people are off to university and for many of them it will be their first time living away from home. Both of us moved away from home and from our home county when we went off to university many moons ago, and now our little brother is doing the same. It can be a very daunting time so we thought we would put together a little list of what you can expect throughout university.
If there is one hidden cost that most people forget about before they travel, it is the price of vaccinations. If you live in the UK these will NOT be on the NHS and you will have to pay as they are not a required for you to have them. Or in simpler terms; You have chosen to go on this trip where you will need these specific vaccinations and it is not an illness that the NHS need to treat. Apart from Tetnus, none of the other vaccinations in this list are required and therefore they are optional vaccinations. AND BOY DOES IT START TO ADD UP. Due to the spacing of some of these vaccinations you should start to think about which vaccinations you want at least two months before you go…
Brunch is one of our favourite ways to treat ourselves (and one of the best meals everrrrr!) It’s slowly becoming more popular in the UK and many places now offer brunch and even BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH, where you can drink as much as you want while eating your glorious meal. We are always on the look out for new brunch spots , but here are a few of our favourites (and a few that are on our list.)
We are big believers in the fact that you don’t actually have to travel out of the UK to find adventure and amazing experiences. Britain is home to some of the most beautiful coastlines, amazing historical sites and a plethora of rolling green hills.
Don’t want to miss out on having the ultimate Great British trip? Below are some of of recommendations of some of the most beautiful places that you can visit!
Location: New York City
As this was our third and fourth times visiting New York we wanted to find a few new places that were off the beaten track. After extensive research and stalking on Instagram we found a food market and knew that we had to go! Smorgasborg is a food market in Brooklyn that has two locations, Williamsburg on Saturdays and Prospect Park on Sundays. We visited the Prospect Park site. AND. IT. WAS. GREAT!
We have been to New York a few times now, having done all the tourists spots before, this time was a little more relaxed. From our research before going the main things we wanted to go to were restaurants. Literally all apart from two items were food related. So here are our recommendations for where to eat and drink, all are a little more off the beaten track but so worth it!
